interest rates?

I'm getting a mortgage, and want fixed interest rate, but im not sure what term to go for. We originally said 3 years, but what are the chances of interest rates being lower than what they are now in three years time? Would we be better with a longer
It depends on your situation. If your credit score is not that high right now then your best bet is a 2/28 or a 3/27. Then after the 2 years you can refinance your loan. If your score is really high right now and you're planning to live in the home for

Historically the rates have been going up, but this is real Crystal ball stuff, personally I would fix my mortage for as long as I could, whilst rates are still reasonable - if for no other reason that you can budget X amount of years ahead. Yes, rates

Im in the processes of buying a new vehicle ( i had to order it and it hasn't arrived yet ) and im wondering what the interest rates are going to be on a $14,500 loan? My credit is really good, my credit score is like 761.
You can look up current rates on bankrate.com. I provided a link. Current 60 month loan is around 6.94%.

Anywhere from 4% - 25%.
Why ask here and not the bank that is financing the vehicle?!

Interest Rates?

Does the movement of interest rates (both increasing and decreasing) affect a firms profitability and how.
any elaborate and fully explained answers will be greatly appreciated.
Generally the lower the interest rate, the higher the profit, because of the cost associated with borrowing. The higher the interest rate, the lower the profit. This is assuming the firm is borrowing money for its' operations. If the firm isn't borrowing

Why it's time for higher interest rates
18.05.12
Progressives, led by Paul Krugman, believe that we can fix our economic woes with more consumer debt and higher inflation. The reality is that near zero interest rates encourage speculation, discourage savings, weaken pension funds, and put millions of baby boomers at risk.

E-MINI S&P 500 STOCK INDEX
The S&P 500 index has fallen sharply in the past week and posted a new 2-month low on Wednesday. The latest down-leg was sparked by the political turmoil in Greece and the recent weak U.S. economic data that included the April ISM non-manufacturing index (-2.5 to 53.5) and the disappointing April payroll report of +115,000 (March +154,000). The initial claims series are both in good shape with initial claims just 6,000 above its 4-year low and continuing claims falling to a new 3-3/4 year low. Nevertheless, the market remains worried that the U.S. economy may be downshifting to lower growth. The European election results from this past Sunday were bearish for global stocks since the anti-austerity theme suggested that countries might start missing deficit targets and cause upward spikes in bond yields. Greece is in political turmoil and the risks have risen for its eventual exit from the Eurozone. Q1 earnings season is winding down with positive results of +7.8% earnings growth and 66% of companies beating estimates.
