My wife has SSN, but no job and income. Is she eligible to open a checking account in the bank like Citi, and how? and as she has no credit score, can she even apply a credit card?

She can probably open a checking account but she will need a minimum deposit to get one. It can range from $5.00 on up depending as to what bank she goes through. As for a credit card I doubt that she will be able to get one now because of the economy
