    I'm 15 and I want to get a debit card. My mom and I already talked about it and she said it was fine, but I don't know where I can get one from. Can somebody help me.

    Depending on the bank, you would need to open up a checking and saving acct and request to have a debt card attached to the checking acct. Occasionally your mom may also have to be on your acct but its be coming less common.

    I got my 14 year old sister one from Wells Fargo. You need an adult to be a primary on the account, but you'll get your own card and be able to make deposits/withdrawals/etc.

    okay. so i was on juicy couture and then i ordered something with my visa debit card. then i cancelled the thing i got. when will the money come back on my card?

    i ordered the item at about 6 last night and the money still isnt on my card..

    Most companies process the return electronically immediately. The wait that happens following that transaction is your banks processing time. Usually if you contact the company that did the refund/cancelling they may be able to give you a confirmation

    I have a debit card with money on it. Am I able to purchase things online with it? Like I would be able to with a credit card?

    Yes. The difference between a debit card and credit card is that with a credit card, you have buyer protection, and you're borrowing money. With a debit card, there really isn't any buyer protection, and you're using your money.

    Prepaid debit cards are all the rage, with more traditional banks joining the business to help bolster their fee income. The cards let consumers access their money at A.T.M.’s and stores and pay bills without having a traditional checking account.

    But the myriad fees the cards carry are often confusing and can end up costing consumers more than a traditional checking account. A recent analysis from Consumer Reports found that some popular prepaid cards cost between $9 and $19 a month if the holder arranges for direct deposit, and $19 to $29 a month without direct deposit.
