mastercard FAQ
mastercard?
Sep 08, 2007 by Pina Colada | Posted in Other - Business & Finance
i opened up a joint back account, which is in a different city than where i am now (about 2 hours away). they sent my fiance and i a mastercard debit card for each of us. well it turns out that the only way to activate the cards is to use them at an atm
First, it has to be activated at a bank owned ATM not any ATM.
There was not a phone number where you can call to activate it? There is not a branch location of your bank that is local?
Why would you have a bank you don't
Gem | Sep 08, 2007
Call the number on the card and ask to speak with a supervisor. Firmly but politely tell them that their response has been unacceptable and that you want the card working immediately or you will move your money to another bank.

I have a visa debit card. I heard some people saying Visa card can be used for shopping with putting the pin code and Mastercard needs a password during any transaction(eg. shopping). Is that true? I'm bothered because if my card is lost then i'll be
The only real difference is the logo. They both work the exact same way.
