How does the student loan payments work with financial aid?
Apr 24, 2011 by Frosty | Posted in Financial Aid
How does this work? The university charges a full tuition amount to a lender of student loans, but then how do they account for scholarships? Do they return the money of the scholarship back to the lender or do they just keep the scholarship amount in
Your financial aid office is going to account for everything you qualify for.
You should use your scholarships first, and then take out student loans to cover difference.
As for scholarships, there should be no lenders.

what happens when you take a personal loan from the bank?
Apr 26, 2011 by Casey J | Posted in Personal Finance
I want to borrow $10,000 from the bank for a car, and i was wondering how it works and how it takes money from my account ect.
Personal loans are almost impossible to get unless you have collateral.
Have you considered an auto loan instead of a personal loan?
The interest rate will be much lower.
Credit unions and small banks generally carry the best

GOP blocks Senate debate on Dem student loan bill
18.05.12
Senate Republicans blocked a Democratic bill Tuesday to preserve low interest rates for millions of college students' loans, as the two parties engaged in election-year choreography aimed at showing each is the better protector of families in today's rugged economy.
The 52-45 vote to begin debating the legislation fell eight votes short of the 60 needed to proceed and stalled work on an effort both parties expect will ultimately produce a compromise, probably soon. For now, each side is happy to use the stalemate to snipe at the other with campaign-ready talking points while they are gridlocked over how to cover the $6 billion cost.
