    I'm getting a divorce and eventually moving out, and I don't really want to throw money away on rent. I'm thinking of buying a mobile home (because they're inexpensive) but was wondering if I can get a full 30-year mortgage on one, so I can keep my payments

    No...If one buy a "mobile home", and places it on a FHA approved foundation, then it will qualify for an FHA loan. Check out the Realtors in your area instead of asking us.

    I was thinking about getting a mobile home but I had heard that a mobile home mortgage is the same as a car loan. I found a mobile home for 115,000 would that qualify for a home mortgage since it is a very high amount?

    Man will pay twice for rent on mobile home

    LELAND, NC (WECT) - A Leland man said he's going to have to pay again for rent he's already paid to his landlord. Timothy Redmond said he found out in January that his landlord had not paid the mortgage on the mobile home for three months.

    "With the economy, everybody's strapped. You pay your rent thinking that's out of the way and you have to worry about the other bills and now I have to pay it again," he said.

    Resident-bought mobile home park is NH's 100th

    Residents of a 54-unit mobile home park in New Hampshire recently bought the property, making it the state’s 100th resident-owned manufacturing housing community.

    The group bought the Big W Mobile Home Park in Derry for $2.2 million. They got a mortgage from the New Hampshire Community Loan Fund.
